Overall, The Drunken Goat Taverna is celebrated as a local gem offering satisfying food and a lively setting, making it a popular choice for visitors and locals alike.
Great Greek food! Great open hours for late night drinks and craves. Too bad it’s not kids friendly. We had to sacrifice one adult to eat elsewhere with the kid.
We ordered the Appy platter to share. Fantastic flavours!! Lots of food for the two of us, we didn't need anything else.
Food was great! Had the chicken souvlaki meal and it was delicious! They weren’t shy with the sauce either! Calamari tasted great as well! Definitely recommend! Server was great, however no A/C and the doors were open to the indoor dining area so lots of mosquitos unfortunately. Overall, really great place to eat at when in Dawson!
Delicious food in a quirky atmosphere. Fits well with Dawson's quirkiness. Large portions, enough to share or have leftovers. Gets really busy at dinner time. Reasonable prices.
If you're trapped in Dawson City on a Holland America trip, this is the town's hidden gem! This place has legit good food. We ordered the chicken souvlaki. It was tender, flavorful chunks of chicken with a side of tasty rice. The Caesar salad was fresh and the dressing had good flavor. We also ordered the appetizer sampler, which was a heaping portion of shrimp, spanokpita, dolmades and Greek salad with pita and tzatzki sauce. It was all tasty. You won't go wrong.
Quirky little Greek restaurant. Cash only. Had a lamb Gyro with side Greek salad and DW had a chicken wrap. Taziaki sauce was delicious as was the food. Food came out quick-reasonably priced.
Absolutely delicious food, I've adored Greek food since I was young and finding some here on my trip to Dawson was a real treat. I expect I'll be eating there again before I leave. Highly recommended.
Got there early enough to nab a table out on the front porch. Had the ribs and souvlaki. Both delicious! Rib meet was falling off the bone. Good portions too. Also loved their way of doing potatoes, boiled then fried (I think) for a half potatoe you could pick up and bit through the Krispy outside. Had a great beer too. Happy a local recommend Drunken Goat.
